Capela da Quinta do Saldanha

Known as the Hermitage of the Lord of the Afflicted, this chapel is an integral part of Quinta do Saldanha. It is worth noting the rare beauty of an ivory Christ on a carved wooden cross. The image of the Lord Jesus of the Afflicted remains, to this day, a source of great popular devotion, especially among fishermen.

A temple with Baroque features founded in 1740, during the reign of King John V. The interior has a single nave covered by a frescoed ceiling and eighteenth-century tile panels covering the walls. The left wing of the main chapel leads to the former chapel of Our Lady of Mercy, a sixteenth-century building that became the church's chapel.

The main façade is flanked by a tower with three bells. The single-nave interior features five altars. The Hispano-Arabic tiles and 17th-century paintings are noteworthy.

Igreja Nossa Senhora da Atalaia

A Mannerist building, rebuilt in the 18th century. The interior walls are covered in 17th-century blue and white tiles depicting scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary. At the back of the church is a eucalyptus grove that ends in a fountain, the Fonte da Senhora or Fonte Santa, where, according to legend, Our Lady of Atalaia appeared. The traditional symbolic "Lavagens" are still held there today during the parish's main pilgrimage, which takes place on the last Sunday in August.

The main chapel's altar features a gilded altarpiece and Solomonic columns framing 17th-century painted panels depicting Saint Margaret of Cortona and Saint Martin of Tours. The ceiling features the National Coat of Arms of King Sebastian.
