Igreja Matriz de Algodres / Igreja de Santa Maria Maior
The church, probably built in the 12th century, features a simple longitudinal plan with a nave, a narrower and lower chancel, and an attached sacristy. It was rebuilt in the 17th and 18th centuries. Due to several renovations over the centuries, it displays characteristics of Romanesque, Mannerist, and Baroque architecture.
