Igreja de Santa Maria Maior de Tarouquela
A Romanesque temple founded by the Canons Regular of Saint Augustine, it is the only example of a monastic church in the present-day municipality of Cinfães. The façade features a portal with three archivolts and capitals decorated with zoomorphic motifs and a decorated tympanum. On the south façade, there are two portals with Romanesque motifs. Inside, the highlight is the number of tombs with arches, as well as the decorative motifs on the arches, capitals, girdles, and corbels. Nothing remains of the monastic building, although the main body of the church preserves the structure begun in the 12th century. Inside, a notable image of a Virgin of Milk, a 15th-century Flemish work, stands out.
