Spa located in the heart of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, an area of extreme beauty, with lakes and breathtaking mountains. Being already known by the Romans, their exploitation started in the reign of Dom João V in 1897 was demolished and gave rise to new buildings and to the catchment water. These are especially recommended for treatments of liver, gall bladder, obesity, diabetes and hypertension. Also has dietary re-education programs, weight loss, physical and psychological relaxation, anti-stress and physical recovery.

Located by the building of the Thermae of Gerês, it is a fine place for relaxing. A very pretty park, with spontaneous vegetation in some places and garden areas. There is a lake with ducks where one can ride a boat. It is open only in the summer and one must pay the entry ticket.

From this belvedere, one can view almost the entire island. One can also view the Desertas islands and the Madeira island in the distance.

A very pleasant garden with flowers, palm trees and stone benches and tables. It has a lovely ocean view. It has a small children's playground with a cushioned floor and some equipments for the children's amusement.

Founded in 1485 by Queen Leonor Thermal Hospital of Caldas da Rainha is the oldest in the World, counting with 5 centuries of existence. Over the years, the Hospital Termal has evolved in terms of differentiation of treatments. These medicinal waters are used for treatment of diseases of the respiratory organs, rheumatic and Musculoskeletal.

The old backup garden of the Thermae Hospital, the Park Dom Carlos I, a true "lung" of Caldas da Rainha, has many trees and lawns. Since its inauguration, in 1892, it has been a traditional meeting place, with a lake and recreational boats, as well as the Museum José Malhoa.
