This museum displays a vast collection of sacred images and silver objects.

Church built by will of Infante D. Henrique in 1460. Inside, a collection of sacred art from the 17th and 18th centuries stands out.

This gate is one of the few remains of the old fortress, built in the 18th century to defend the town from pirates. It was built between 1797 and 1799 by Matias de Avelar. The upper part of the gate features the coat of arms with the royal arms of Portugal.

São Jorge Island is also known as the "Island of Fajãs" due to the massive presence of these fertile spots, dotted with the occasional white house dotting the landscape. Fajã das Almas, also known as Fajã do Calhau, is another of these rare beauties, well worth a careful visit. Also known as Fajã do Porto, the site has about 30 old houses and a road accessible by car. It boasts a chapel honoring Our Lady of Sorrows and numerous streams. It is also known for its natural pools for bathing and the caves on its coast, caused by sea erosion.

The former jail and "Domus Municipalis," one of the oldest and most emblematic buildings in Praça-Forte, now houses memories of the most significant moments in Valença's history. The archaeological remains, a glimpse into the medieval fortification, and the military heyday of Praça-Forte in the 18th century are the highlights of this center.

A tower of medieval and seventeenth-century military architecture, it is one of the oldest stately towers. Its original main entrance was through the broken arch on the second floor, with the main façade later being moved to the opposite side. Above this façade is the coat of arms of the Counts of Pliégue.
