Founded in the 15th century, the Ribeira Brava Parish Church, or São Bento, has undergone several renovations over time, resulting in Manueline, Mannerist, and Baroque features. It houses a diverse and rich collection of paintings, sculptures, goldsmithing, and woodcarvings from the 16th and 17th centuries, making it one of the region's most important heritage sites. Its treasures have been exhibited at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels, which forms the church's Silver Collection.

Fortim de São Bento

Ordered by Governor Duarte Sodré Pereira to defend that anchorage, this small fort was built in the early 20th century to replace a previous 16th-century fortification dedicated to Saint Sebastian, which was destroyed by a massive flood in 1803. It is a circular tower with a revivalist design, retaining the original Baroque inscription and coat of arms.

Museu Etnográfico da Madeira
