Based on a long history linked to wine production and thanks to the region's climatic conditions and privileged soils, it was natural that Adega de Valpaços emerged in 1956, with the aim of providing an outlet for the large supply of wine from numerous producers. The municipal pools complex comprises an indoor swimming pool and another outside. There is also a gym with fitness and weight training equipment, Multisport Pavilion for 5-a-side football, tennis, basketball, handball and volleyball courts and a playground.

Take in a 300 million-year-old time-trip at Dino Parque, Portugal's largest outdoor museum and the largest Iberian dinosaur fossil exhibit of the Upper Jurassic. Knowing the four routes, corresponding to some of the most important epochs of Earth's history - the end of the Paleozoic, Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous - are represented about 120 dinosaur models.

The park's seven hectares are divided into six thematic areas: Africa, World of Confusion, Medieval Village, Pirate Refuge, Souk and Far-West.
