This museum is located in the Gorjão Palace, a former Coimbra manor house dating back to the 17th century. The museum regularly presents temporary exhibitions of sculpture, painting, drawing, and tapestry, among other works. It also features thematic exhibitions: Remembering April, Cultivating Freedom, and Bombarral Ceramics. The museum also has a library with specialized works on archaeology, history, ethnography, and art history, and a Historical Archive with documentation on Bombarral's recent history and collections of old newspapers.

La iglesia fue fundada por la reina Leonor a principios del siglo XVI. Remodelado en el siglo XVIII, el campanario también es de esa época. El interior, de tres naves, está revestido con azulejos del siglo XVII. A classical Italian horseshoe theater, very rare in Portugal. Inside, the wooden structure of the boxes stands out, with decorative gilded stucco applications. Eclectic decorative elements are also visible in the main hall: the walls are decorated with shell-shaped moldings and (neoclassical) festoons with stucco symbols alluding to the theater. There are also hints of Neo-Baroque and Art Nouveau styles (iron railings on the large window).
