Igreja construída em 1738, em estilo barroco, de planta longitudinal, nave única e capela-mor retangular. O interior é decorado com talha dourada, retábulos e caixotões barrocos, possui uma cruz de Malta e um vitral em honra de Nossa Senhora do Bom Despacho. Merece destaque o revestimento da fachada principal, todo em azulejo. Em 2003, foi declarado Santuário Mariano por decreto do Bispo do Porto, D. Armindo Lopes Coelho, altura em que a Nossa Senhora do Bom Despacho foi coroada como Padroeira de todo o concelho. A festa em sua honra celebra-se no segundo domingo de Julho, feriado municipal.

Em dias selecionados, é possível subir ao miradouro da Torre do Lidador, onde funcionam os serviços da Câmara Municipal, e desfrutar de uma vista privilegiada para a Maia e toda a Área Metropolitana do Porto. Inaugurado em 2001 e com uma altura de 92 metros, este é o 5º edifício mais alto do país e o mais alto fora de Lisboa. Visível a partir de qualquer uma das suas 10 freguesias, a Torre é uma referência do concelho e sua mais reconhecida imagem de marca. A participação na visita guiada é gratuita, mas de inscrição prévia obrigatória.

This is an ancient recreational farm of the bishops of Oporto. It is composed of a beautiful house, with a ground floor and a noble floor, and nine windows with granite balconies of bolsters. Inside are worthy of notice the chapel with a golden woodcarver retable from the 17th century. Here you may also find the “Maia Gardens”, fountains, chapels and a swimming-pool. The statues and the outside areas are by Nicolau Nasoni.

Located in the old Maia Town Hall, in the 18th century, it has two floors and large exhibition rooms.

19TH century building, where is currently the official residence of the President of the Azores Regional. In the interior, highlighted by some furniture from the 18th and 19th centuries and for a collection of tiles from ancient temples on the island.

Fort built in the 16th century and changed and enlarged in the 19th century. It is the only military construction of San Miguel that lies in ruins.

The Portimão seafront has a wide pedestrian avenue, all of it with typical Portuguese pavement. Palm trees along the way lend an exotic atmosphere to the place. Garden benches are a good excuse to sit and rest for a while, or just to enjoy the scenery.

This Chapel is located near to the wall of the Castle, having been built in 1656 by order of Countess da Feira, d. Joana Forjaz Pereira de Menezes e Silva. It is a classical building, hexagonal cross-section, which reveals the influence of important chapels of centralized plant in the region. Inside, the floor forms a radial drawing from the Center, and gilded altarpieces in five walls. Attaches to the Chapel, there is a chaplain's House.

Rectangular fortress with a turret at each angle, based on a high and steep rock. Inside there is a small chapel in honor of Santa Catarina. It works as access to the beach/marina of Portimão through a staircase and provides beautiful views over the sea and the marina.

Roman villa with two peristyles, one hexagonal and the other square, both with tiled floors. One of the great attractions of this place is the existence of polychrome mosaics, with geometric motifs. This station provided materials from the 1st to the 2nd century.
