This church was founded by the Queen Saint Isabel in 1300 and afterwards it was reconstructed by Filipe the 2nd between 1589 and 1633. It is worthy to mention the Renaissance coffers in stone on the main chapel, the 16th century glazed tiles, the stonework on the lateral altars, the pulpits and the carvings.

Be sure to visit this tower of homage, one of the few remaining traces of the ancient castle of Abrantes, dating from the 12th century. The donjon was built later, in the early 14th century, in the reign of Dinis. The Tower has a quadrangular plant, located in the center of the Plaza de armas.

Castle situated on the right bank of the Tagus River, consisting of medieval fortifications and bastions. This castle has undergone profound changes and reconstructions over the centuries, particularly in the 17th and 19TH centuries. In the 17th century, Dom Afonso V, fearing an invasion of Spain, ordered the rebuilding of ancient fortifications. It was constructed under the orders of Dom Afonso II in 1215, this church was destroyed by an earthquake in 1429 and it was later rebuilt in 1433. On the last quarter of the 15th century here it were constructed D. Diogo and D. Lopo graves. It is worthy to mention the Gothic triumphal arch, the fifteen hundreds graves, the mudejar glazed tiles and the altarpiece primitive part. In 1921 it was here installed Abrantes Regional Museum.
