19TH century building, where we ran the last change of station postal horses, the Malaposta. Rebuilt by the City Council, was opened in 1989 as a cultural space, consisting of several rooms and a gallery for temporary exhibitions.

A antiga Tinturaria Francisco Mendes Alçada funciona desde 2006 como Galeria de Exposições de carácter temporário. Aqui são organizadas diversas mostras de artistas locais, nacionais e estrangeiros, com vista a dinamizar e a contribuir para a promoção e desenvolvimento cultural e artístico do concelho.

It was built in 1893 and is one of the oldest concert halls in Alto Minho. It is a beautiful example of Italian architecture and was restored and remodeled from 1999, respecting the initial structure.

A cultural space where several events take place such as concerts, poetry sessions, theatre and cinema, among others. It has an auditorium with 90 seats, an exhibitions room, a photography laboratory and a room with 15 computers and free Internet access. The UNIVA and the GAPP also function here.

Placed on the north side of Rossio, the National Theatre Dona Maria II, which name pays homage to the daughter of Dom Pedro, was built in the 1840s by the Italian architect Fortunato Lodi. The façade of this neoclassic building is composed by six columns coming from the São Francisco Convent and is ended by a triangular fronton where the figures of Apollo and the Muses are sculpted. On top of the fronton is possible to see the statue of Gil Vicente, maybe the most important Portuguese dramaturge of all times, considered to be the father of the national theatre.

Sonoscopia is a space for reflection and creation, where artists related to experimental, improvised and electroacoustic music cross ideas and develop them. The space includes an agenda of events, workshops and educational activities, as well as record editions.

Initially, the raw material was just a service of orders and deliveries of disks, but currently it is stated as a meeting point for professionals and lovers of alternative music.
