Housed in a building that once served as the Town Hall and the county jail, however destroyed by fire and retrieved for museological purposes, the interpretation centre of Venda Nova aims to present exhibitions that monographic study and disclose the assets of the municipality, as is the flax or Cycle the coats of arms of the municipality of Ribeira de Pena.

The collection of the Museum consists of archaeological objects found in the vicinity of the Castle, in particular in the Castro de Lanhoso. The second floor of the Tower has been transformed into an audiovisual space where the visitor will get to know the entire history of the Castle and the lands of Lanhoso. O Museu do Ouro está instalado numa oficina de ourivesaria da Casa de Alfena (hoje uma unidade de Turismo de Habitação) e faz parte de um conjunto de oficinas, datadas do século XVIII. Este espaço pretende dar a conhecer a identidade de uma comunidade ligada ao trabalho de ouro, desde tempos ancestrais. O museu resulta dos esforços de um ourives de Travassos, Francisco de Carvalho e Sousa, que, ao longo de cinquenta anos de actividade, foi recolhendo objectos de ouro, utensílios e mobiliário, agora aqui expostos.

This chapel is placed next to a fort in Lanhoso and it is composed by five chapels of the Way of the Cross representing some of the stcenes of the Golgotha drama. The image of the Saint has its origins on the Sanctuary in Monte do Pilar in Vila Nova de Gaia and it arrived at Póvoa de Lanhoso in 1680 through the devotee André da Silva Machado a wealthy merchant from Valdemil.
