Gravity dam located on the Tâmega River, 3.5 km from the confluence of the Tâmega with the Douro.

Located on the south bank of the Tâmega River and bordering Santa Maria de Sobretâmega, the Church of São Nicolau, next to the old Canaveses Bridge, displays a late design within the context of Portuguese Romanesque architecture, evident in its column-less, capital-less portals and plain corbels. This church preserves, though very fragmented, important remains of mural painting from the 16th and 17th centuries.

Protohistoric settlement with fortifications. Features an excavated pre-Roman bathhouse and Roman baths, a forum and possible temple, necropolis, wine press, and tombs.

A temple of Romanesque foundation, it retains little of its original design. Inside, the Baroque carvings on the altars and the tombs dating from the 14th and 15th centuries are noteworthy.

In the green landscapes, between Douro Litoral and Trás-os-Montes, is situated the Sheep River Valley, where we can find a framework of preserved villages. Built by Alpendurada monastery, so that the friars could enjoy the Farm as a place of rest and repose, Quinta do Mosteiró is a nook, located on the right bank of the River Douro, where all the conditions have been created for guests to enjoy a tourist structure of great comfort.
