Opened in 1884, the zoological garden of Lisbon lodges, at present, about 2 thousand animals of 380 species. The main attractions are the dolphins’ bay that imitates a typical fishing village, the small farm where the country atmosphere is created, the reptilian with different kinds of reptiles’ species and the rope-way that takes you on a relaxed journey through the zoo, offering a lovely view of the gardens and the city. Built in the XIX century, in a neoclassical style, the palace was the permanent residence of the King D. Luís, his wife and his children, which lived here on the second half of eight hundred. The throne-room, the supper-room and the “Despacho” room are preserved as in the time of the Royal family. The museum exhibits collections of decorative arts from the XIX century, silvers, paintings, tapestry and furniture.

The reservoir Mãe D’Água of the Amoreiras was planed by the architect Carlos Mardel in 1746. Its function was to take and distribute the water supplied by the Águas Livres Aqueduct. It has a terrace with panoramic views of the city.

It is a mixture of architectural styles, the result of the amount of times it has been restored. You can visit the Gothic cloister and the treasury, with a very varied collection of silver objects, ecclesiastical vestments, images, manuscripts and relics related to São Vicente. On the outside, the façade stands out, with a porch and portal with four primitive Romanesque archivolts.

Located in the Jardim de São Pedro de Alcântara, the view over the city is magnificent. From here you can reach the walls of the Castle of São Jorge, Baixa, Mouraria, Alfama, as far as the Church of Penha de França. There is a tiled map that helps to understand the view.

O restaurante está instalado num autocarro de dois andares, servindo almoços tardios, lanches e jantares, com muita animação e programação musical.
