This Baroque building dates back to the 18th century. Comprising two floors, the main floor features bay windows with iron railings supported by carved stone medallions. The main façade boasts a coat of arms. Inside, the interior features carved wooden ceilings.

In the Solar building, you can view themed exhibitions about Port Wine, while the space where the old cooperage once stood now houses an auditorium. They organize technical tastings of Port and Douro Wine, as well as "Portos de Honra", lunches, and dinners.

The Douro Museum was created in 1997 to promote this demarcated region and its economic and wine-producing heritage. Housed in a former manor house, it brings together other museums throughout the country to better promote the region. In addition to the various exhibitions it hosts, it also promotes other cultural activities, and is the only museum in the country with a resident string quartet.

A fortified Roman villa with two imposing lines of schist walls, including an access gate in the inner wall. Notable are the mosaics depicting fish in a bath about a meter deep, uncovered through archaeological excavations.

The Douro Line, which totals approximately 200 kilometers, runs partway close to the river, offering a wonderful panorama of it and the surrounding vineyards. On Saturdays from June to October, a 1925 steam locomotive runs between Régua and Tua stations, transporting us to another time. Along the way, you can enjoy a glass of port and a slice of regional football, accompanied by traditional songs. Stop at Pinhão station and taste or purchase local wines and gourmet products, and admire the fantastic tile panels outside the building.

The restaurant Castas e Pratos is situated in the old warehouses of the railways, in the heart of the douro region. The cuisine is creative and modern, never forgetting the Douro flavors, which gives a special touch seasonally. In addition to varied suggestions can be hot or cold, can be of fish or meat and there is also tapas, pasta and vegetarian suggestions. The varieties, as the name suggests this restaurant, can be sampled in the fine wines of the region, presented in a very appealing. The space also includes a wine-bar.

A quality restaurant where one must ask previously for the dishes. Almost all the dishes are prepared in the wood oven. The speciality is the roasted lamb.

Cacho d'Oiro presents itself with the cozy ambiance of a simple House, where you can enjoy a well diversified and regional menu (about forty dishes per day). The wine list is equally diverse, with emphasis on the Douro wines. The walls feature paintings depicting the Douro.

The São Domingos Farm is a restaurant entirely in wood, with quite a friendly service that welcomes free guided tours of the Castelinho wine cellars. It has quite a diversified menu of fish and meat.

The restaurant and the bar have a modern decor in contrast with the classic façade and astounding views of the Douro river. It has a typical regional menu and an amazing wine list with 95% of Douro wines, 30 white, 150 red and 25 port wines.
