The Portimão seafront has a wide pedestrian avenue, all of it with typical Portuguese pavement. Palm trees along the way lend an exotic atmosphere to the place. Garden benches are a good excuse to sit and rest for a while, or just to enjoy the scenery.
The Pedagogical Farm of Portimão, in Aldeia Nova da Boavista, in Portimão, seeks to recreate the structures of traditional rural farms. In an area of two hectares, divided into different cultivation areas, animal shelter, a lake area, green and leisure areas, it seeks to provide young people with the opportunity to contact this environment and the animal species within it.
Next to Praia do Vau, following the beautiful cliffs, is Praia do Alemão, the name by which it is best known. It doesn't have all the infrastructure, just a bar and a surveilled area. The sea is calm, ideal for bathing. The beach is moderately spacious and quiet.
The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve was opened in 2008 and is one of the best and most modern European circuits. Its layout allows for 64 versions, including models approved by the FIA for Formula 1 and by the FIM for Superbikes. Since 2010, it also includes one of the biggest kart tracks in Europe. Kartódromo offers several programs, aimed at adults, children, amateurs or professionals.
Beach located next to Praia da Rocha, also known as Praia do Branquinho. It is equally cosmopolitan and touristy, with flat sand and clear waters. At the top of the cliff there is a viewpoint offering beautiful views. In the area there are also several restaurants for all tastes and lots of nightlife.
Long sandy beach, embedded in a cliff. Here the sea is calm, and the water is of good quality, being one of the most sought after places in the summer by both national and foreign tourists. In the vicinity there are many hotels and guesthouses, small typical restaurants and some luxury ones.
