Located in a clock tower, also named Torre das Cabaças, this museum houses collections of local history, architecture, heritage and clocks.

The waterfall is 14 metres high and it is formed by the springs of the Alviela river. On the river there is a milling complex with over twenty mills. The surrounding area has many trees, namely cork oak trees and stone pines.
