The Cimalhinhas Palheiras Nucleus is part of the Cimalhinhas Heritage Trail. The Cimalhinhas Heritage Trail, in Carregal do Sal, is a local project to safeguard, enhance, and transform archaeological heritage into a museum, aiming to preserve and recover evidence of the past. It consists of a cluster of rough-hewn stone buildings covered with wood and corrugated tiles, which were used to store tools, herd animals, or store straw in post-medieval times.

It is one of the most significant material testimonies of funerary practices or burial rituals over the centuries since the High Middle Ages. It is a set of tombs carved into the rock, located behind the parish cemetery on private land.

Statue dating from 1933, built by Dr. Aristides de Sousa Mendes, Portuguese consul in Bordeaux during the Holocaust. The imposing Christ the King was brought from Belgium in blocks and erected on this lookout point that was part of his property, which also houses the Casa do Passal.

A megalithic monument, a prehistoric tomb dating back approximately 5,500 years, consists of a polygonal chamber with nine pillars, two of which are broken. It has a roof and a long corridor with eight pillars on one side and seven on the other.

A 12th-century monument that underwent extensive renovations in the 18th and 19th centuries, it preserves its original Gothic Main Chapel, with a vaulted ceiling. Beneath the Gothic-Manueline arch lies the tomb of the knight Fernão Gomes de Góis, executed in 1440 by João Afonso, Master of the Bells. The tomb features a richly decorated reclining statue supported by four lions with thick, combed manes.
