A stretch of sand, located at th tend of the Ria Formosa, accessible on foot or by boat, from the Manta Rota beach. Almost untouched, it has naturism. Cacela is known for it fortress, built in 1770 by Dom Rodrigo de Noronha. From its battlements, at th top of the hill, one has magnificent views of the green waters and the log dunes area of the Fábrica Beach. There are two restaurants that serve oysters, shrimps and clams.

A famed marina, located on the Guadiana river, by a luxury area in Vila Real de Santo António. It can welcome up to 378 boats, it has fueling and a workshop where sails and engines may be repaired. To have a place in the summer one must make one's reservations very early.

Located in a picturesque fishing village, this beach has a wide stretch of sand, tranquil waters. Good infrastructures and many restaurants. There is a market, many shops, the Arts Centre and the Ria Formosa Natural Park that are all good for nice strolls. If you happen to go to Manta Rota in August, do visit the craftswork fair that takes place every year at that season.

A beach with a wide stretch of sand and good quality water, surrounded by tourism resorts. There is an area for radical sports and tennis courts. There are quality restaurants on the sand but the prices are really high. Nearby there is a casino and bar with lots of liveliness at night.

For those coming from the West, this is the last beach, overlooking the Spanish locality of Ayamonte. Although popular, allows for a quiet stay, also sought by anglers. Here you can enjoy the sea, the Guadiana river or wander through the woods of the National Coastal Dunes. The sand is extensive and without accidents. The access is by a way roofing, but bumpy.

A very peaceful, pleasant beach, surrounded by woods. A small edenic bay located on the foothills of the Natural Park of Arrábida, with soft white sand and calm crystal clear waters. There is a small backup bar.

Located by the ferryboat to Tróia. A medium sized marina, with good installations. Nonetheless, its backup infrastructures, such as shops, are either non-existing or old fashioned.

A beach that ends by a hillside covred by lush vegetation, with good water. There is a small backup bar that serves light meals.

A small beach with a reacreational port and a rather rich variety of maritime fauna. In the vicinity there is a cave, the Lape de Santa Margarida, with vestiges of the power paleolithic man. In the distance, one may see the Fortress of Our Lady of Arrábida. Quality restaurants with typical dishes, where the Azeitão cheese, the honey and the wine stand out.

Quite a lovely beach where envrionmental lessons take place. It has a library, radio and first aid. There are boats for rental. It has a somewhat high priced quality restaurant. A lot of traditional commerce.
