Burgau is the end of the municipality of Vila do Bispo. This beach is home to a small fishing port that, along with the surrounding scenery, paints a picturesque spot, despite the already growing hotel infrastructure. The sand is long but narrow, composed of a pebble area used by children to build in the sand. The cliffs bordering the sand open up this beach. The sea is very calm, ideal for swimming.

Most of the beach's visitors are surfers, as the sea is wavy and choppy. There is a small beach bar at the entrance to the sand, offering a beautiful view of the beach.

Martinhal Beach is located in the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park and is known for its excellent windsurfing conditions. After crossing a dune with some vegetation, there is a vast stretch of sand, with a concession area and plenty of space. Walking to the left, with the sea in front, is Rebolinhos Beach. The rocks visible in the sea, 1,000 meters from the sand, are known as Martinhal Island. It is possible to reach it by swimming, but only with advance notice from the lifeguard.

Looking at the top of the cliff can be seen traces of a 16th-century fortification. Great for sea baths.
